- OPERATION P.U.S.H. (IT IS NOT BUSINESS AS USUAL) -
Hi Guys,
I welcome you to this month of August. It’s been a while, I sincerely apologise for this long absence.
This is due to some internal re-organisation that is going on both in my life and in the ministry which
has affected almost everyone in the team. Talking about the team, they are a bunch of wonderful people
that are filled with the grace of God over their lives. I love you guys and I am always proud of you,
well done, none of you shall be found wanting on that glorious day, for those that are not there yet,
I am believing God for you that you shall attain in Jesus name.
(Philippians 3: 12:16) “Not that I have already attained, or am already perfected; but I press on,
that I may lay hold of that for which Christ Jesus has also laid hold of me. Brethren, I do not
count myself to have apprehended; but one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind and
reaching forward to those things which are ahead, I press toward the goal for the prize of the upward
call of God in Christ Jesus. Therefore let us, as many as are mature, have this mind; and if in anything
you think otherwise, God will reveal even this to you. Nevertheless, to the degree that we have already attained,
let us walk by the same rule, let us be of the same mind”.
It is not a coincidence that I came back online in August; I believe it was orchestrated by God.
It was the urge from the web designer that we should aim for this newsletter to be out by August 2009
and he has worked endlessly to make sure that it was so, Kudos to you (Olu) Jeremaine as I call him.
When he was insisting that we need come back in August it does not occur to me that God was about to do
some thing new and wonderful in this month until Sunday the 26th July 2009 when God gave the theme of
the month as OPERATION P.U.S.H (IT IS NOT BUSINESS AS USUAL), still I was struggling with this theme
but within me I know God was about to do something, though I did not fully grasp what was about to happen
until I got to the church on Sunday and the pastor could not preach, starting from the worship up to the
time of the Word, we could not stop praying hence normal church activities could not take place.
The scripture that God gave me was taken from the book of Psalm. 74:9-10 “We do not see our signs;
There is no longer any prophet; Nor is there any among us who knows how long. O God, how long will
the adversary reproach? Will the enemy blaspheme Your name forever?”
This was our experience and I believe this represents the heart cry of the Lord, He desires us to
cry out for signs like the apostle of old in the book of Acts, when their heart desire is to do the
work of the Lord and the Bible says the Spirit did not permit them, until Paul in chapter 16, saw a
vision and of a man calling and begging them to come to his city, that is when they perceive God is
sending them to Macedonia. Acts 16:6-10 “Now when they had gone through Phrygia and the region of
Galatia, they were forbidden by the Holy Spirit to preach the word in Asia. After they had come to
Mysia, they tried to go into Bithynia, but the Spirit did not permit them. So passing by Mysia,
they came down to Troas. And a vision appeared to Paul in the night. A man of Macedonia stood and
pleaded with him, saying, “Come over to Macedonia and help us.” Now after he had seen the vision,
immediately we sought to go to Macedonia, concluding that the Lord had called us to preach the gospel to them.
