- New Beginning -
2 Corinthians 5:17

I welcome you to year 2008 the year of the Next Level. My prayer is that you will experience Next level all around you in Jesus Name. The Theme of the month for this special month is New Beginning. The Bible tells us in the book of 2 Corinthians 5:17 “Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new” I pray that this year and this month you will make a decision to seek God. The bible says "if anyone is in Christ", friends make a decision to be in Christ this year as that is the only decision that can bring changes to your life, situation and circumstances.

What does these changes means? It means where we are before, things we were doing before, things that are suitable with us but not with God, our ways of life that we deemed fit must change, when we make a decision to be in Christ.

Ephesians 2:3 “And you He made alive, who were dead in trespasses and sins, (2) in which you once walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit who now works in the sons of disobedience, (3) among whom also we all once conducted ourselves in the lusts of our flesh, fulfilling the desires of the flesh and of the mind, and were by nature children of wrath, just as the others.

This is the way we have always being but if we turn to God, we shall become a new creature in Christ through his grace not by our effort or work just by His grace alone.

Ephesians 2:4 “But God, who is rich in mercy, because of His great love with which He loved us, (5) even when we were dead in trespasses, made us alive together with Christ (by grace you have been saved), (6) and raised us up together, and made us sit together in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus, (7) that in the ages to come He might show the exceeding riches of His grace in His kindness toward us in Christ Jesus. (8) For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God."

The gift of newness and new beginning and new creation are waiting for you as you make a decision to seek him this year. This is not a New Year resolution it is a New Year decision and commitment. Have a wonderful New Year fill with Joy and all your heart desires in Jesus Wonderful name (amen).
